Biography
Wiesława Starska is a Polish costume designer. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków with a specialisation in artistic textiles. Her film credits from the 1970s onward include work on several productions directed by Andrzej Wajda.
She designed costumes for Man of Marble (1977), Man of Iron (1981), Without Anesthesia (1978) and The Maids of Wilko (1979). Other credits include Europa Europa (1990) directed by Agnieszka Holland, No End (1985) directed by Krzysztof Kieślowski and Jakob the Liar (1999). She has frequently collaborated with her husband, production designer Allan Starski, and has also worked in theatre and television.
