Biography
William Baldwin, also credited as Billy Baldwin, is an American actor. Born in Massapequa, New York, he is the brother of actors Alec, Daniel and Stephen Baldwin. He graduated from Binghamton University with a degree in political science and began his career in modelling before moving into acting.
Baldwin is known for roles in films including Flatliners (1990), Backdraft (1991), The Squid and the Whale (2005) as Ivan, and Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008). He has also appeared in television series such as Gossip Girl (2007) as William van der Woodsen and Dirty Sexy Money (2007–2009). He received a Gotham Independent Film Award for Best Ensemble Cast for his work in The Squid and the Whale.
Baldwin has been married to singer Chynna Phillips since 1995.
