Biography
William F. Zorzi, also credited as Bill Zorzi, is an American journalist and screenwriter. He worked at The Baltimore Sun for nearly twenty years, covering politics, courts and crime.
Zorzi joined the writing staff of the HBO series The Wire in 2004 for its third season, contributing as staff writer, story editor and teleplay writer on episodes including 'Unto Others' (2006) and 'Unconfirmed Reports' (2008). He later co-wrote the 2015 HBO miniseries Show Me a Hero with David Simon and wrote episodes of the 2022 miniseries We Own This City, on which he also served as producer. The The Wire writing team won a Writers Guild of America Award for Best Dramatic Series.
