Biography
William Oswald is a British film and television editor. Born in Belfast in 1957, he graduated from Queen's University Belfast with a B.Sc. Honours in Computer Science. He trained as a film editor at BBC Wales from 1979, later working as an assistant editor there and at Granada Television until 1983. He co-founded post-production companies Teliesyn Ltd. and P.O.V. Ltd. in South Wales before becoming a freelance editor in 1996.
Oswald has edited numerous episodes of Doctor Who (2007–2017 and later), Torchwood (2009), and Sherlock (as Will Oswald). His other credits include Good Omens (2019) and The Miracle Maker (2000). He has won BAFTA Cymru awards for editing, including for Torchwood: Children of Earth and an episode of Sherlock.
