Biography
William Edward Phipps (also credited as William Phipps, Bill Phipps and Phil Phipps) was an American actor and producer. He grew up in St Francisville, Illinois, attended Eastern Illinois University and trained at the Actors' Laboratory Theatre in Hollywood.
Phipps made his film debut as Leroy in Crossfire (1947). He is known for voicing Prince Charming in Cinderella (1950), appearing in Five (1951), The War of the Worlds (1953) and numerous Westerns and television series including The Twilight Zone, Bonanza and Batman. His final screen role and a producing credit came with the 2000 film Sordid Lives.
