Biography
William Wisher Jr. (also credited as William Wisher Jr. and William H. Wisher Jr.) was an American screenwriter. Born on 23 May 1955, he was a boyhood friend of director James Cameron and collaborated with him on early projects, including additional dialogue for The Terminator (1984). He received a co-writing credit with Cameron on Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991).
His other screenwriting credits include the story and screenplay for Judge Dredd (1995), the screenplay for The 13th Warrior (1999), and work on the Exorcist prequels Exorcist: The Beginning (2004) and Dominion: Prequel to The Exorcist (2005). He contributed uncredited rewrites to several films and served as executive producer on Live Free or Die Hard (2007). Wisher also appeared in small acting roles and cameos in Cameron's films. He died on 14 July 2026 in Fullerton, California.
