Biography
Wrenn Schmidt, also credited as Melinda Wrenn Schmidt, is an American actress. She was born on 18 February 1983 in Lexington, South Carolina. She attended the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities, graduating in its inaugural drama class in 2001, and earned a B.F.A. in theatre studies and history from Southern Methodist University in 2005, graduating summa cum laude.
Schmidt began her career in stage productions before moving into television and film. She is known for recurring television roles including Julia Sagorsky in Boardwalk Empire (2012–2013), Kate in The Americans (2014), Dr Iris Campbell in Person of Interest (2014–2016), and Megan Holter in Outcast (2016–2018). She has played the central role of Margo Madison in the series For All Mankind since 2019. Her film credits include Our Idiot Brother (2011), 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi (2016), Nope (2022) and The Starling Girl (2023).
