Biography
Yo Oizumi is a Japanese actor, comedian, television personality and voice actor. Born on 3 April 1973 in Ebetsu, Hokkaido, he is a member of the theatrical unit Team Nacs and is represented by Creative Office Cue.
He began his career in 1995 while at university, debuting on the Hokkaido late-night programme Mosaic Nights. He first gained wider recognition through the regional television series How Do You Like Wednesday? and has since worked across television dramas, films and voice acting.
Oizumi is known for voice roles including Bandai Frog in Spirited Away (2001), Prince Justin / Turnip Head in Howl's Moving Castle (2004) and Professor Layton in Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva (2009). Live-action credits include Hideo Suzuki in I Am a Hero (2016), Shou Tucker in Fullmetal Alchemist (2017) and Kureo Mado in Tokyo Ghoul (2017). He has been married to drama producer Kumiko Nakajima since 2009.
