Biography
Yoichi Kuroda, also credited as Yôichi Kuroda or Youichi Kuroda and in Japanese as 黒田 洋一, is a cinematographer and photography director in Japanese animation. He is credited as cinematographer on the television series Neon Genesis Evangelion (1995).
He has worked in photography or as camera operator on numerous anime productions, including My Neighbor Totoro (1988), Only Yesterday (1991), Ghost in the Shell (1995), Perfect Blue (1997), and films in the Dragon Ball and Armitage III series. Many of his credits are associated with Studio Cosmos.
