Biography
Yūko Miyamura is a Japanese voice actress, actress, singer and sound director. She is best known for voicing Asuka Langley Soryu in the television series Neon Genesis Evangelion (1995) and its related films, including Neon Genesis Evangelion: The End of Evangelion (1997) and the Rebuild of Evangelion series.
Miyamura was born on 4 December 1972 in Kobe, Japan. She graduated from the theatre division of Toho Gakuen College of Drama and Music and began her career in 1994. Other notable voice roles include Kazuha Toyama in Detective Conan (from 1996) and Casca in Berserk (1997). She has also appeared on screen, including as the training video announcer in Battle Royale (2000), and has worked as a sound director.
