Biography
Ziwe Fumudoh is an American comedian, writer and actress. Born Ziwerekoru Fumudoh on 27 February 1992 in Lawrence, Massachusetts, she graduated from Northwestern University with a double major in radio, television and film and African American studies, and a minor in creative writing.
She created the YouTube comedy series Baited with Ziwe in 2017. Fumudoh has written for Desus & Mero (2018–2020) and Dickinson (2019), appearing in the latter as Sojourner Truth. She starred in and executive produced the Showtime variety series Ziwe (2021–2022) and published the essay collection Black Friend in 2023.
Her acting credits include Sophie Iwobi in Succession (2021), voice work as Amelia in The Great North (2021), Audrey in Shell (2024) and a role in The Studio (2025).
