Biography
Alan C. Blomquist is a producer and production manager. He began his career in production roles including unit production manager and first assistant director on films such as La Bamba (1987) and Uncle Buck (1989). He later moved into producing, with early credits including co-producer on Everybody's All-American (1988).
Blomquist has worked frequently with director Lasse Hallström. His credits include executive producer on What's Eating Gilbert Grape (1993), producer on The Cider House Rules (1999), executive producer on Chocolat (2000) and A Dog's Purpose (2017), and executive producer and unit production manager on Walk the Line (2005). He also produced several Blue Collar Comedy Tour films and stand-up specials.
He received a Daytime Emmy Award for the 1986 CBS Schoolbreak Special The War Between the Classes. Blomquist was educated at the University of Michigan.
