Biography
Albert Pollet was a French actor who appeared in numerous Hollywood films, often in uncredited supporting roles. Born in Paris in 1889, he began his screen career in the silent era and continued working into the 1950s.
He is credited, sometimes as Alex Polette, in films including The Mysterious Lady (1928), The Black Cat (1934) as a waiter, Ninotchka (1939) as a waiter, The Thin Man (1934), Gilda (1946), An American in Paris (1951) and The Heiress (1949). Many of his appearances were as waiters, French characters or minor figures.
