Biography
Aleksander Bardini (1913–1995) was a Polish actor, theatre and opera director, and educator. He appeared in around 30 films between 1937 and 1994, including several by Krzysztof Kieślowski.
His film roles include the Consultant in Decalogue (1989) and Decalogue II and IV (1989), Mieczysław Labrador in No End (1985), Gregorij Ganscheff in Inspector Rex (1994), the Conductor in The Double Life of Véronique (1991), and the Notary in Three Colors: White (1994). He also appeared in Andrzej Wajda’s Korczak (1990). Bardini worked extensively in Polish theatre and as a professor at the State Theatre School in Warsaw.
