Biography
Amanda Drew is a British actress born on 21 December 1969 in Boston, Lincolnshire. She trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, graduating in 1992, and began her career on stage with appearances at the Royal Court Theatre, the Royal National Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Almeida Theatre, in the West End and on Broadway.
Her television roles include Esther Sinclair in Wednesday (2022), Miss Kane in Gangs of London (2020–2025), Cate Gillespie in Broadchurch (2013–2015), Angela Stilton in The Capture (2019) and CS Cath McLean in The Gold (2023–2025). She has also appeared in Chernobyl (2019), A Private War (2018) and Black Mirror (2011). On stage she was nominated for Outstanding Newcomer at the 2003 London Evening Standard Theatre Awards and won the Clarence Derwent Award for her performance in the RSC production of Eastward Ho!.
