Biography
Amir M. Mokri is an Iranian-American cinematographer. Born in Iran on 11 June 1956, he emigrated to the United States in 1977. He studied at Emerson College and graduated from the American Film Institute with an MFA in cinematography in 1982.
Mokri has worked as director of photography on numerous feature films, including Pixels (2015), Man of Steel (2013), Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011), Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014), Fast & Furious (2009), Bad Boys II (2003), National Treasure: Book of Secrets (2007) and Lord of War (2005). His earlier credits include Slam Dance (1987) and Life Is Cheap... But Toilet Paper Is Expensive (1989), for which he received Independent Spirit Award nominations for best cinematography. He has also shot episodes of the television series The First Lady (2022). He is married to producer Winnie Fredriksz.
