Biography
Amy J. Schmidt is a producer and production manager who began her career in assistant directing. She worked as second assistant director on feature films including Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997), Wag the Dog (1997), Old School (2003), Wonderland (2003) and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007). She later served as first assistant director on television series such as The Vampire Diaries (2012–2016).
Schmidt has since moved into producing and unit production management roles. Her credits include co-producer and unit production manager on Grey's Anatomy (2018–2019) and Station 19 (2020–2021), co-producer on The Idol (2023), and producer and unit production manager on Euphoria (2019–). She has also worked on Forever (2025).
