Biography
Amy Wright is an American actress. Born in Chicago, Illinois, she graduated from Beloit College and later studied acting with Uta Hagen in New York.
She is known for film roles including the Bridesmaid in The Deer Hunter (1978), Nancy in Breaking Away (1979), Jackie in The Amityville Horror (1979), Rose Leary in The Accidental Tourist (1988), and the Burning House Realtor in Synecdoche, New York (2008). She has also appeared in The Good Shepherd (2006) and The Scarlet Letter (1995).
Wright was married to actor Rip Torn from 1989 until his death in 2019; they had two daughters. She has worked in theatre, including original productions on Broadway, and teaches at HB Studio in New York City.
