Biography

Andrew Dickson is an English composer. Born in 1945 in Isleworth, London, he has composed extensively for film and television, and has worked in theatre as an actor, director, musical director, musician and composer.

He is best known for his long collaboration with director Mike Leigh, providing the music for Meantime (1983), High Hopes (1988), Naked (1993), Secrets & Lies (1996), All or Nothing (2002) and Vera Drake (2004). Dickson won the European Film Award for Best Composer for his work on High Hopes.
