Biography
Andrew Droz Palermo is an American cinematographer and director. He was born in Columbia, Missouri, and raised in Jefferson City, Missouri. He became a member of the American Society of Cinematographers in 2023.
Palermo frequently collaborates with director David Lowery, serving as cinematographer on the films A Ghost Story (2017) and The Green Knight (2021), as well as episodes of the series Strange Angel. He has also worked with Hannah Fidell on A Teacher (2013), 6 Years (2015) and The Long Dumb Road (2018), and with Adam Wingard on You're Next (2011) and V/H/S (2012).
His credits as cinematographer include The True Adventures of Wolfboy (2019), episodes of Moon Knight (2022), and Thunderbolts (2025). As a director, he co-directed the documentary Rich Hill* (2014) with Tracy Droz Tragos, which won the Sundance Grand Jury Prize.
