Biography
Angela Barnes is a television director and writer. She began her career in assistant director roles before completing the Directors Guild of America's Assistant Director Training Program. She participated in the ABC/Disney Directing Fellowship, the Fox Global Director Initiative and the Fox Comedy Apprentice Program.
Her directing credits include episodes of Atlanta (2022), Loot (2022), Mythic Quest (2021), Blindspotting (2021), Teenage Bounty Hunters (2020, as Angela Barnes Gomes) and Ironheart (2025, three episodes). She has directed two episodes of Daredevil: Born Again (2026). She also directed the 2020 voting PSA Get Your Booty to the Poll.
Barnes signed with Hungry Man Productions in October 2024. She has received a NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Directing in an Episode of a Comedy Series for an episode of Atlanta.
