Biography
Angela Morley (1924–2009) was an English composer, conductor and arranger. She began her career as Wally Stott or Walter Stott, providing music for BBC radio programmes including The Goon Show and Hancock's Half Hour in the 1950s and 1960s. She composed and arranged light music and worked as a musical director for the BBC.
After transitioning in 1972, she continued her work under the name Angela Morley. She composed scores for films including Watership Down (1978) and The Slipper and the Rose (1976), and contributed orchestrations to several John Williams scores. Her television credits include music for Dallas, Dynasty and Cagney & Lacey (1982). She received three Emmy Awards for music direction and two Academy Award nominations for original song scores.
