Biography
Anna Boden is an American filmmaker who works primarily as a director, writer, editor and producer. She studied cinema and English at Columbia University and met Ryan Fleck while working on student films; the pair have collaborated on most of their projects since the early 2000s.
Boden wrote and edited the 2006 feature Half Nelson, directed by Fleck. With Fleck she has co-directed Sugar (2008), It's Kind of a Funny Story (2010), Mississippi Grind (2015), Captain Marvel (2019) and Freaky Tales (2024), and has directed episodes of series including Billions and The Affair.
