Biography
Anthony Michael Welsh is an English actor. Born on 5 July 1983 in Hammersmith, London, he grew up in West Ealing and attended Drayton Manor High School. He began evening acting classes at Richmond Drama School around the age of 20, followed by a foundation course, before training at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA).
Welsh made his film debut in Red Tails (2012). His screen credits include Starred Up (2013), The Girl with All the Gifts (2016), Sand Castle (2017), Ibiza (2018), Hanna (2019), Master of None (2021) and Bob Marley: One Love (2024) as Don Taylor. On television he is known for playing Lucky Gordon in The Trial of Christine Keeler (2019–2020) and Leon in The Flatshare (2022). He has also appeared on stage, with early roles at the Young Vic and Royal Court Theatre.
