Biography
Austin Nichols is an American actor and director. Born on 24 April 1980 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, he was raised in Austin, Texas, and graduated from the University of Southern California in 2002 with a degree in English, focusing on creative writing.
Nichols began acting professionally in the late 1990s. His early film roles include J.D. in The Day After Tomorrow (2004) and Jake Hammond in Wimbledon (2004). On television he has appeared in series such as Six Feet Under, Deadwood, John from Cincinnati (as the title character), One Tree Hill (as Julian Baker), Bates Motel (as Sam Loomis) and The Walking Dead (as Spencer Monroe). He has also directed and produced.
