Biography

Babak Karimi is a Czech-Iranian actor and film editor. He was born on 22 March 1960 in Prague and is the son of Iranian actor and director Nosrat Karimi.

He is known for his roles in A Separation (2011) as the Interrogator, The Past (2013) as Shahryar, The Salesman (2016) as Babak and The Life Ahead (2020) as Mr Hamil. For his performance in A Separation, he shared the Silver Bear for Best Actor at the 61st Berlin International Film Festival in 2011.
