Biography
Babou Ceesay is a British actor. Born in London in 1978, he grew up in West Africa and holds dual British and Gambian citizenship. He studied microbiology at Imperial College London and worked as an internal auditor at Deloitte before training at the Oxford School of Drama.
His screen credits include the films Eye in the Sky (2015), Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016), Free Fire (2017) and The Best of Enemies (2019). On television he has appeared in Luther, Guerrilla (2017) and Into the Badlands (2018–19) as Pilgrim, and played the title role in Wolfe (2021). In 2025 he took the lead role of Kumi Morrow in the series Alien: Earth.
