Biography
Bill Bailey, born Mark Robert Bailey, is an English comedian, musician and actor. He is best known for playing Manny Bianco in the Channel 4 sitcom Black Books (2000–2004) and for regular appearances as a team captain or panellist on Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Have I Got News for You and QI.
Bailey began performing stand-up in the 1990s, winning the Time Out Comedy Award in 1995. He has acted in films including The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (2005), in which he voiced the Whale, Hot Fuzz (2007) as Sergeant Turner, and Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang (2010). He has also appeared in Spaced (1999) and Saving Grace (2000).
