Biography
Bill Thomas (born 4 July 1952) is an English actor of stage and screen. He trained at Rose Bruford College and appeared in over 400 roles across 46 years, including lead parts at the National Theatre and in feature films.
He played Tom Henshall in the BBC series Cutting It (2002–2005) and Charles Quance in The House of Eliott. Other credits include the Oscar-nominated short Syrup (1994), Loving Vincent (2017) as Dr Mazery, Alice Through the Looking Glass (2016) and appearances in Merlin, Midsomer Murders and Foyle's War. He also featured in numerous television commercials.
Thomas retired from acting in 2016 after struggling to remember lines and became a doorman at Selfridges on Oxford Street.
