Biography
Brian Gleeson is an Irish actor. He was born on 14 November 1987 in Dublin and is the son of actor Brendan Gleeson and the brother of actor Domhnall Gleeson. He trained with the Gaiety's Youth Theatre Company and began his professional career in 2006.
Gleeson first appeared on screen alongside his father in The Tiger's Tail (2006). He gained attention for his role as Hughie in the first series of Love/Hate (2010), for which he received an Irish Film and Television Award nomination. His film credits include The Eagle (2011), Snow White and the Huntsman (2012), Assassin's Creed (2016), Logan Lucky (2017) as Sam Bang, Phantom Thread (2017) and mother! (2017).
On television he has played Jimmy McCavern in Peaky Blinders (2019) and Thomas Claffin in Bad Sisters (2022). He has also appeared in stage productions including The Walworth Farce with his father and brother.
