Biography
Brian McConnachie was an American comedy writer and actor. He contributed to National Lampoon magazine in the 1970s and wrote for Saturday Night Live and SCTV Network, for which he shared a 1982 Emmy Award for writing. He also wrote episodes of the children's series Shining Time Station and Noddy, and the 2013 Simpsons episode 'The Fabulous Faker Boy'.
As an actor, McConnachie appeared in Caddyshack (1980) and several films directed by Woody Allen, including Husbands and Wives (1992), Bullets Over Broadway (1994), Deconstructing Harry (1997), Celebrity (1998), Small Time Crooks (2000) and The Curse of the Jade Scorpion (2001). He was born in Manhattan on 23 December 1942, attended University College Dublin and served in the US Army. He died in Venice, Florida, on 5 January 2024.
