Biography
Carrie Daumery was a Belgian-born American actress. She began acting on stage at the age of 17 and later moved to Hollywood, where she worked as an extra before becoming a stock actress at Warner Brothers studio. She appeared in more than 60 films between 1908 and 1937, frequently in uncredited bit parts.
Her credited roles include Mere Grandet in The Conquering Power (1921) and the Duchess of Berwick in Lady Windermere's Fan (1925). She is also noted for uncredited appearances such as Lady-in-Waiting in The Man Who Laughs (1928), Lady in Waiting in The Smiling Lieutenant (1931), Dowager in Love Me Tonight (1932), Reception Guest in Duck Soup (1933), and Championship Fight Spectator in Kid Galahad (1937).
Daumery was the widow of Belgian pianist Théophile Ysaÿe and the mother of film director John Daumery. She died in Los Angeles in 1938.
