Biography

Casey Silver (born Andrew Silver) is an American film producer and former studio executive. He began his career as a screenwriter and worked as an assistant to director Adrian Lyne on Flashdance (1983). He later served as director of development and production at Simpson-Bruckheimer Productions and held production roles at TriStar Pictures before joining Universal Pictures.

Silver rose to chairman and chief executive officer of Universal Pictures, overseeing production, marketing and distribution. Through his company, Casey Silver Productions, he has produced films including Hidalgo (2004), Ladder 49 (2004), Leatherheads (2008), The Forbidden Kingdom (2008), The Highwaymen (2019), No Sudden Move (2021) and Black Bag (2025). He has also served as executive producer on the Netflix series Godless (2017).
