Biography
Celia Weston is an American character actress. Born Celia Watson on 14 December 1951 in Spartanburg, South Carolina, she trained at Salem College and the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. She began her career on stage, making her Broadway debut in 1979.
Weston is known for her role as Jolene Hunnicutt in the CBS sitcom Alice (1981–1985) and for supporting parts in films including Dead Man Walking (1995), for which she received an Independent Spirit Award nomination, The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999), Hulk (2003), How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (2003) and The Village (2004). She was also nominated for a Tony Award for her performance in the play The Last Night of Ballyhoo (1997).
