Biography
Chang Chen (Chinese: 張震) is a Taiwanese actor. He made his film debut as a child and rose to prominence with the lead role in Edward Yang's A Brighter Summer Day (1991).
He has appeared in films by Wong Kar-wai, including Happy Together (1997) as Chang, and Ang Lee's Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000) as Lo. Other notable roles include 2046 (2004), Red Cliff (2008) and its sequel, The Grandmaster (2013), The Assassin (2015) and Dune (2021) as Dr Wellington Yueh.
In 2021 he won the Best Leading Actor award at the Golden Horse Awards for The Soul. His father Chang Kuo-chu and brother Chang Han are also actors.
