Biography
Charlie Hunnam, also credited as Charles Matthew Hunnam, is an English actor. He was born on 10 April 1980 in Newcastle upon Tyne and studied performing arts at Cumbria College of Art and Design.
Hunnam began acting in British television, appearing in Byker Grove before his breakout role as Nathan Maloney in the Channel 4 series Queer as Folk (1999). He gained wider recognition playing Jax Teller in the FX series Sons of Anarchy (2008–2014).
His film credits include Children of Men (2006), Pacific Rim (2013), Crimson Peak (2015), King Arthur: Legend of the Sword (2017) and Rebel Moon - Part One: A Child of Fire (2023). He is also set to appear in Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story (2026).
