Biography

Cherie Lunghi is an English actress. Born in Nottingham in 1952, she trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama and joined the Royal Shakespeare Company in the late 1970s, appearing in leading roles including Perdita, Celia and Viola.

Her film roles include Guenevere in Excalibur (1981), Carlotta in The Mission (1986) and Caroline Beaufort Frankenstein in Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (1994). She has appeared in many British television dramas, including The Manageress, and featured in a series of Kenco coffee advertisements. She competed in the 2008 series of Strictly Come Dancing.
