Biography
Robert De Niro is an American actor. He was born on 17 August 1943 in Greenwich Village, New York City.
De Niro trained at the Stella Adler Conservatory and the Actors Studio. His screen roles include Neil McCauley in Heat (1995), Louis Gara in Jackie Brown (1997) and William Hale in Killers of the Flower Moon (2023). He is also known for performances in The Godfather Part II (1974), Taxi Driver (1976), Raging Bull (1980), GoodFellas (1990) and The Irishman (2019).
De Niro has received two Academy Awards, for Best Supporting Actor in The Godfather Part II and Best Actor in Raging Bull. He was awarded the AFI Life Achievement Award in 2003, the Kennedy Center Honors in 2009 and the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2016.
