Biography
Chris Tonick is an American film editor. Born on 18 June 1983 in Dallas, Texas, he earned a film degree from Southern Methodist University before moving to Los Angeles in 2011. He began his career editing documentaries, instructional television series and commercials in Texas.
Tonick worked as an assistant editor on several studio films, including Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), John Wick: Chapter 2 (2017) and Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood (2019). He later became a lead editor on features such as Black Friday (2021), Freelance (2023), Trigger Warning (2024) and The Furious (2025). He was recommended for the latter by director Chad Stahelski.
