Biography
Christine Lalla is a British director and writer. She began her career as a sports photographer before training at the London Film School, where she worked as a cinematographer on short films.
Her directing credits include episodes of Midsomer Murders (2021), EastEnders (2021), Silent Witness (2023) and Hollyoaks (2016–2017). She wrote, produced, directed and edited the micro-budget feature The New Boy (2015), which premiered at the East End Film Festival.
Lalla has also directed National Theatre Live productions, including Dear England (2024). She is a BAFTA member, a former Directors UK board member and a Berlinale Talent.
