Biography
Charles Palmer, also credited as Charlie Palmer, is an English television director and producer. Born in 1965 in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, he is the son of actor Geoffrey Palmer. He began his career in the camera department, working on projects including documentaries, pop videos and feature films such as Bend It Like Beckham (2002) and Star Wars.
Palmer has directed episodes of Doctor Who (2005), including the Hugo Award-nominated "Human Nature" and "The Family of Blood" (2007), Poldark (2015), Agatha Christie's Marple (2004), Agatha Christie's Poirot (1989), Midsomer Murders (1997), Death in Paradise (2011), Doc Martin (2004) and Lewis (2007). He has also worked as a producer on series including Extraordinary, which received a BAFTA nomination for Best Scripted Comedy.
