Biography
Renny Rye is a British television director. He began his career as a producer on the children's programme Blue Peter in the late 1970s and early 1980s, and directed the BBC adaptation of The Box of Delights (1984).
Rye is known for his collaborations with Dennis Potter, directing Lipstick on Your Collar (1993) and the linked serials Karaoke and Cold Lazarus (1996). He has directed episodes of long-running series including Agatha Christie's Poirot, Casualty, Silent Witness and 23 episodes of Midsomer Murders between 2004 and 2017.
