Biography
Edward Bennett is a British film and television director. Born in 1950 in Cambridge, England, he was educated at Eton College.
His feature film Ascendancy (1983) won the Golden Bear at the 33rd Berlin International Film Festival; he served on the jury the following year. Bennett has directed episodes of series including Inspector Morse (1987), Agatha Christie's Poirot (1989), Waking the Dead (2001–2011), Death in Paradise (2011) and Grantchester (2014). He has also written for television and film.
