Biography
Anthony Horowitz is an English novelist and screenwriter. He was born on 5 April 1955 in Stanmore, Middlesex, and studied English literature at the University of York.
Horowitz has written for television since the 1980s. He adapted early episodes of Midsomer Murders (1997) from Caroline Graham's novels and created the series Foyle's War (2002). His novels include the Alex Rider series for young adults and the Susan Ryeland mysteries, beginning with Magpie Murders (2016). Adaptations of his work include the series Magpie Murders (2022) and Marble Hall Murders (2026). He was appointed OBE for services to literature.
