Biography
Christopher Hodson (12 January 1929 – 26 December 2015) was a British television and film director. Born Christopher Stacey Hodson in Hawarden, Flintshire, Wales, he directed British television series and television movies from 1958 to 2000.
He directed episodes of series including Upstairs, Downstairs (1972–1975, 14 episodes), The Bill (1984–2000, over 40 episodes), EastEnders, Mr. Digby Darling and A Dorothy L. Sayers Mystery. His one feature film was The Best Pair of Legs in the Business (1973).
In 1976 he was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Directing in a Drama Series for the Upstairs, Downstairs episode "Women Shall Not Weep".
