Biography
James Ormerod (1924–2003) was a British television director and producer. Born on 30 April 1924 in Lancashire, England, he died on 14 April 2003 in Godalming, Surrey.
He directed episodes of series including Upstairs, Downstairs (1975), Justice (1971–1973), South Riding (1974) and Spearhead (1978–1981), and produced many of the same programmes. Ormerod also directed episodes of No Hiding Place, Heartbeat and Saracen, and won a BAFTA Award.
