Biography
Chuck Sheetz is an American animation director, producer and educator. Born on 31 December 1960, he grew up outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and moved to Los Angeles at age 19 to study at the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television, from which he graduated in 1983; he later received an MFA from the UCLA Animation Workshop.
Sheetz began his career as an animation timer on The Simpsons and went on to direct numerous episodes of the series from 1997 onwards, including "Eternal Moonshine of the Simpson Mind" (2007), for which he received a Primetime Emmy Award in 2008. He has also directed episodes of The Critic, King of the Hill, Recess and What's New, Scooby-Doo?, produced the latter for three seasons, and directed the feature Recess: School's Out (2001). He is a professor and area head of the Animation Program at UCLA.
