Biography
Clyde Fillmore, also credited as Clyde Fogle, was an American actor of stage and screen. He appeared in silent films from the late 1910s, including a role in the now-lost The Devil's Pass Key (1920) directed by Erich von Stroheim, before pursuing a busy career on Broadway in the 1930s playing men of means or influence.
In the sound era he returned to film as a character actor, often in small or uncredited parts. His credits include The Shanghai Gesture (1941), The Talk of the Town (1942), Watch on the Rhine (1943), The More the Merrier (1943) as Senator Noonan, Laura (1944) and Lady on a Train (1945). He was married to actress Lea Penman from 1924 until his death.
