Biography
Courtenay Miles is a writer, producer and former assistant director. She began her career in assistant director roles on numerous films, including Step Brothers (2008), The Hangover (2009), Moneyball (2011) and Gone Girl (2014), where she served as first assistant director to David Fincher.
Miles worked as first assistant director on the first season of the Netflix series Mindhunter (2017). Fincher subsequently invited her to contribute to the second season (2019), for which she served as head writer and executive producer, writing the story and teleplay for several episodes. She received a Writers Guild of America nomination for drama series for her work on the show. She wrote the screenplay for the film The Unforgivable (2021) and is the writer and executive producer of the forthcoming Evil Genius (2026).
