Biography
Crispin Bonham-Carter is an English actor and later educator. Born on 23 September 1969 in Colchester, Essex, he is best known for his role as Charles Bingley in the 1995 BBC television adaptation of Pride and Prejudice.
His other screen credits include Howards End (1992), Bridget Jones's Diary (2001) and Casino Royale (2006). He also worked as a theatre director with young actors at institutions including LAMDA, the Guildhall School and the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, and at the National Youth Theatre.
Bonham-Carter retrained as a teacher from 2007 and taught English and Classics at a North London comprehensive school. He was appointed Assistant Head at Queen Elizabeth's School, Barnet, in 2019.
